Motors
The SPL platform cabling is retained from the recent polarimetry experiment, see Configuration for SPL and the August 2024 LPL EMP Tests.
Additional motion control is required for the two XRTS, the XTCS, and the VISAR lens. B-XRTS and F-XRTS cabling requirements are taken from their most recent use in February 2023: Motor configuration for Run 21 PEMP and EMP. The requirements for the XTCS are from October 2023: Motor configuration for Run 21 L-10008. The VISAR stages were referenced last in Run 22: L-10177 McBride.

Hardware we need
- DB15 M-F gender changers - PEEK. Quantity = 4
- We have non-PEEK gender changers that can be used for testing.
- A bag of these is (as of late Friday) on top of the parts cabinet east of the target chamber.
Remaining task list
- Motors
- Diagnose and fix motion on power meter stage. Suspect not a run current issue at this point.
- The cabling used during the SPL/polarimetry experiment, as documented at Configuration for SPL and the August 2024 LPL EMP Tests, was what we started with here -
Power Meter Stage Vacuum cables connected into T5(beta)/4 labeled “SPL pwrmtr stg” PR60 MEC:TC1:MMS:26. - Motion erratic at 5%, shaft vibrates at 10%
- Had ended up near south limit switch - no motion in either direction using 5% run current, 1.0 mm steps.
- Powered off by disconnecting at PR60/MEC:TC1:MMS:26, manually rotated drive shaft to move stage far from limit, reconnected
- Checks of different configuration showed that:
- The problem was not specific to the VT-50-300 (we tested a new stage with same cabling - and it failed)
- The problem was not specific to vacuum-side cabling. (also failed)
- The problem persisted using a new air-side cable and a different feedthru (T5/3 instead of T5/4), but with original vacuum cable.
- We suspect the issue is with the feedthru or the PR60/MEC:TC1:MMS:26 patch panel port. Eric Galtier plans further tests on Monday.

- All need DB15 gender changers (3) at F-XRTS XYZ stage connections (Lupe's shop did not have PEEK versions)
- XTCS
- Cable pink/white cable from D2c/D1 to XTCS filterwheel
- Needs DB15 gender changer at XTCS filter wheel stage connection (Lupe's shop did not have PEEK version)
- F-XRTS
- Verify correct pmgr settings for each stage.
- Diagnose and fix motion on power meter stage. Suspect not a run current issue at this point.
- Detectors
- It would be useful to have the detector team involved here, noting Philip Hart's comment:
- "I thought we needed 0, 2, 3 to handle an issue with a low-voltage card, but I could certainly be misremembering."
- Power
- Connect ePix100 power cables (3) from MPOD to TC flange
- Connect vacuum side ePix100 power cables (3) from TC flange to B-XRTS, F-XRTS, XTCS detectors
- Fibers
- See details in Configuration Information table.
- Connect vacuum side fiber pairs (3) to B-XRTS, F-XRTS, XTCS detectors
- B-XRTS connected need to verify
- XTCS fiber and power connections are where?
