Main difference between pass7 and pass8 is that, pass8 is reconstructed without using DB for the SVT alignment constants,

instead alignment constants were loaded from the detector file.

 

One difference between pass7/8 and previous passes is that, starting from the pass7 in the reconstruction

eventflagfilter checks to see whether all event flags are Ok, otherwise event will not be reconstructed, this resulted

about in average 5% of files will have 0 events passed, therefore the list of these files is identified in pass7 and in pass8 these files were ignored.
