Submitted LAT Team Proposals

  • Suzaku proposal for PKS 1510-089 and BL Lac. The proposal for the observation, whose principal investigator is Greg Madejski, was submitted on Jan. 6, 2006. The submission form is here.
  • Swift TOO proposal for flaring blazars. The text is here. The target list is here. The proposal was submitted by Rita Sambruna (with critical help from Jennifer Carson) on behalf of the LAT Team.
  • The following proposal to time one hundred pulsars with the Nançay radio telescope was accepted over the summer (David Smith & Denis Dumora, in coordination with some HESS and XMM needs): https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/download/attachments/9650/form-NRT-Avril2006_HEfinal.doc?version=1
  • Nordic Optical Telescope proposal to measure optical polarization for 120 gamma-ray blazar candidates. The principal investigator is Stefano Ciprini. The proposal is here.
  • Suzaku Cycle 2 proposals: Two proposals on behalf of the group were submitted on Dec. 1, 2006. One ToO proposal on two flaring blazars among BL Lac, PKS 0735+178, PKS 0537-441, AO 0235+164, 0716+714 and another one on PKS 0528+134. The requested period is January 15- April 1, 2008.

One little comment to explain better what is the November deadline for INTEGRAL. It refers to very large programmes, that require a huge amount of time. For example, during the AO4, the KP was dedicated to the Galactic Centre with 2Ms of exposure. Therefore, KP is not suitable for TOO requests, that should be instead proposed at the regular AO5, scheduled around March/April 2007.
