Other Labs
- FNAL (12/12/10 source: Steve Wolbers; contact Richard Dubois)
- Nexsan Satabeast recently
- they are out to bid for a big CMS order and will share the RFP with us in Jan/Feb
- CCIN2P3 (12/13/10 source: Dominique Boutigny; contact Richard Mount)
- The solution that we have retained is a DELL Server R510 + 2
extensions MD1200 (54 TB of usable space). The cost is ~0.3 ? / GB.
The performances have been measured by our storage experts and are
suitable for dCache but may not be enough for intensive xrootd access.
I will ask Benoit to send you the quantitative results of the tests.
