Background
Installation on RHEL5 machines from YUM repositories
Prereq's
Download
Add keys
$ sudo rpm --import http://software.internet2.edu/rpms/RPM-GPG-KEY-Internet2
Download and Install rpm
$ wget http://software.internet2.edu/Internet2-repo-0.1-2.noarch.rpm $ sudo rpm -ivh Internet2-repo-0.1-2.noarch.rpm
Install Repo for other modules (eg perl)
$ sudo rpm -Uhv http://apt.sw.be/redhat/el5/en/i386/rpmforge/RPMS/rpmforge-release-0.3.6-1.el5.rf.i386.rpm
Update Yum
$ sudo yum update
Verify
check to make sure it's install
$ yum search perf
should see lst of perfSONAR modules
Install Components
Install perfSONAR-PS PingER
Install perfSONAR-PS BUOY
Install perfSONAR Admin
Install perfSONAR LS
Install perfSONAR SNMPMA
