WORK IN PROGRESS

Know the risks:

  • Don't pinch the cable on the Rayonix while moving in and out.

Prepare useful screens:

  1. The XRT:M2H control screen (LCLS>Other Screens>M3H) or LCLS>HOMS Overivew>XRT M2H or LCLS>HOMS XRT M2. These authors prefer the Flat Mirror screen below (option 2)
  2. It's also a good idea to navigate to the XRT section of the MFX light path. You can get there by clicking on the panel below the dot map of the main screen. Click on the XRT section (yes, it's a button). Your goal is to check the state of HFX Stopper (also known as DG2 stopper). When moving XRT:M2H, you should first ensure that the HFX stopper is closed.
    1. This is the "old school" screen. We're looking for DG2 stopper in this case.

S2 stopper should be in, in order to move

Move the HOMS to -0.3 and the pitch to about -612

Procedure:

  1. Waiting for beam, you can do things like:

    awr mfx

(awr script is "read only", so it's innocuous, safe, and you should do it)
  2. Insert the Pop-In-Monitor PIM-DG1

Can check

monitor on DG1

slits 0.7 and 0.7
