The first line of help is available by sending email to:

pcds-help@slac.stanford.edu

The experimental elog is accessible at the following location:

https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/apps/logbook

Each user is allowed to view and edit only the experiments she/he belongs to. The elog can also be accessed through the experiment shared account. The PI for the experiment is the custodian of the password of the experiment shared account and he/she can share it with the members of the experiment group. The name of the shared account is the same as the experiment's name.

The following steps allow the PI of an experiment, or his/her designees, to add and remove users to/from the experiment group:

  1. Login to the following page using the personal account of the PI or designee:
    https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/apps/authdb/manage_my_groups
  2. Select the experiment group to manage from the 'Groups' column
  3. Search for user accounts under the 'User Accounts' column (the user must have a SLAC UNIX account in order to be visible to the search tool)
  4. Add or remove accounts to/from the experiment group by clicking on the Add/Remove buttons

If you have problems with a specific piece of the analysis software, please have a look at our bug-tracking system:

https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/trac/psdm

If you have a controls or DAQ request, please open a new ticket here:

https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/trac/controls

Make sure to select one of the <instrument>-request entries from the Component pull-down menu.

The contact list with all the people in the PCDS group is posted here:

https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/trac/psdm/wiki/PcdsContactList

Access to this list is restricted. In case of an emergency that affect your data taking ability, please ask the instrument scientist or the floor coordinator and they will take care of calling whichever contact is appropriate for that specific problem.
