Electronic Logbook

The experimental elog eLog is accessible at the following location:

https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/apps/logbook

Each the main tool for users to access an experiments information. A user is allowed to view and edit only the experiments she/he belongs to. The elog can also be accessed through the experiment shared account. The PI for the experiment is the custodian of the password of the experiment shared account and he/she can share it with the members of the experiment group. The name of the shared account is the same as the experiment's name.

The following steps allow the PI of an experiment, or his/her designees, to add and remove users to/from the experiment group:

  1. Login to the following page using the personal account of the PI or designee:
    https://pswww.slac.stanford.edu/apps/authdb/manage_my_groups
  2. Select the experiment group to manage from the 'Groups' column
  3. Search for user accounts under the 'User Accounts' column (the user must have a SLAC UNIX account in order to be visible to the search tool)
  4. Add or remove accounts to/from the experiment group by clicking on the Add/Remove buttons
