On Linux FUSE can be used to mount xrootd as a file system.

For GLAST FUSE-Xrootd is setup on glastlnx22.

/afs/slac/package/fuse/amd64_linux26/bin/xrootdfs-glast [start|stop|status]

When FUSE/Xrootd is running the process xrootdfsd should be running and the kernel module fuse (lsmod | grep fuse) should have been loaded
