cube_display

gtdispcube

(SD, 23 June 2007) I'd suggest gtdisptable, because what it reads is a HEALPix table

exposure_cube

gtexpcube

This tool produces almost the same output as gtlivetimecube and has been planned to be merged with it for some time. (SD, 23 June 2007) Jim has pointed out that gtlivetimecube and exposure_cube have real differences - like in zenith angle cuts - that will mean work to merge or compromise on functionality. On the assumption that it stays around, I'd suggest calling it gtexptable since it generates a HEALPix table rather than a FITS 3-dimensional array.

exposure_map

This entry is to address Jean's comment below. Since exposure_cube should be omitted, we could call this tool gtexpcube.

The functionality for this tool is now provided by gtbin, so this tool will go away.

(SD, 23 June 2007) I'd suggest gtlttable because it produces a HEALPix table rather than a 3-dimensional array.

  1. We use a tool called exposure_map which allows building a binned exposure "map" (actually  a cube) before any counts "map" from gtcntsmap is available. This is useful for parallel scripts to avoid conflicts between several instances of gtsrcmaps. I would like to see that functionality preserved.
