There will be a 45 minute outage of Confluence and JIRA on Thursday February 25, 2010 from 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM PST. The database server hosting Confluence and JIRA databases is being rebooted to pick up a new Linux kernel which addresses security vulnerabilities.
Use Confluence like a network drive with drag and drop file operations.
New instructions with Confluence 3.2:
To map a Confluence WebDAV client web folder in Windows XP use ' My Network Places' not 'My Computer'.
WebDav client setup instructions can be found here.
Use network address: http://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/plugins/servlet/confluence/default
Known issue with Windows XP and 'My Computer':
Atlassian has an open improvement ticket to address the issue with Windows connecting to WebDAV
Until resolved they have recommended BitKinex WebDAV client as a work around. It is available for free here.
Confluence and JIRA will both be unavailable on Saturday February 13, 2010 from 7 AM PST to 10 PM PST. During this outage both applications will be moved to new SLAC Computing Division centrally managed hardware and JIRA will be upgraded to version 3.13.5. More information on the migration and upgrade project here. Please send comments or questions to confluence-admin@slac.stanford.edu.
