Overview:

This meeting will occur weekly until we have a good useable interface and infrastructure for taking, viewing, and analyzing cspad data.

Existing tools (I'm sure I missed some):

CSPAD myana analysis
CSPAD Alignment
CSPAD Geometry and Alignment
CSPAD dark generation and common mode setup for translator
Tutorial

User interface:

  • Acquisition of data (dark runs, data)
  • Association of data with detector and/or run (metrology data, dark runs, bad pixel data, etc). Is the calibration directory good enough for this?
  • Viewing of image and data (ami, psana)
  • Analysis of data

Analysis:

  • Mapping of pixels on two-by-one
  • Application of metrology data/cspad alignment (gaps show as dips in plots)
  • Applying pedestal corrections
  • Applying gain corrections
  • Corrections for bad pixels? (dead/hot pixels, noisy or low-gain pixels)
  • Corrections for common-mode noise
  • Simple clustering
  • Standard default histograms
  • spectrum per modules
  • common mode distribution
  • 2d plot of hits over threshold
  • others

Infrastructure (DAQ and Elog):

  • How to identify dark runs (click a button in DAQ or in elog or …)
  • How to apply dark runs "automatically" in ami and psana (do we need to do this the same way? how do we make it clear when we use different dark runs?)
  • How to associate metrology/dark runs/etc with a particular run/detector
