Does anyone have any comments on SOFIA as a platform for IR observations relevant to GLAST? I believe that the SOFIA wavelength range is important to diagnose variability of some variable synchrotron sources. In addition, with some specific limitations, SOFIA can guarantee "good weather" for one-shot events (as with the discovery of planetary rings through occultations carried out by the KAO) -- but not, of course, with extremely short lead-times.
