Confluence and JIRA will be unavailable this evening Saturday April 17, 2010 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM PDT. During the outage confluence admin will install a critical JIRA Security patch, released yesterday, which addresses vulnerabilities related to XSS (Cross Site Scripting) attacks and privilege escalations in all versions of JIRA.
The latest release Confluence 3.2 has been installed in the User Test environment. It is available for user testing and familiarization. Production upgrade to Confluence 3.2 is scheduled for May 16, 2010.

There will be a 30 minute outage of Confluence and JIRA on Wednesday March 24, 2010 from 9:00 PM - 9:30 PM PDT. During this outage confluence admin will install and configure the JIRA Subversion plugin and install Confluence plugin updates.
There will be a 45 minute outage of Confluence and JIRA on Thursday February 25, 2010 from 5:30 PM - 6:15 PM PST. The database server hosting Confluence and JIRA databases is being rebooted to pick up a new Linux kernel which addresses security vulnerabilities.
Use Confluence like a network drive with drag and drop file operations.
New instructions with Confluence 3.2:
To map a Confluence WebDAV client web folder in Windows XP use ' My Network Places' not 'My Computer'.

Known issue with Windows XP and 'My Computer':
Atlassian has an open improvement ticket to address the issue with Windows connecting to WebDAV
Until resolved they have recommended BitKinex WebDAV client as a work around. It is available for free here.

During this outage both applications will be moved to new SLAC Computing Division centrally managed hardware and JIRA will be upgraded to version 3.13.5. JIRA went down at approximately 0710 this morning and currently remains unavailable. Confluence-admin is working on identifying the problem and restore the service.
There will be a 45 minute outage of Confluence and JIRA on Monday January 11, 2010 from 12:00 PM - 12:45 PM PST. The linux and database servers hosting Confluence and JIRA are being rebooted to pick up a new Linux kernel which addresses security vulnerabilities.
A Yahoo Crawler session using system resources has been detected on our Confluence / JIRA Web server. The IP address has been blocked but IIS requires a reboot to implement the block and disconnect the current session. The reboot will be issued at 8:25 AM PST today Thursday December 17, 2009.
