SLIC is a full detector simulator based on the Geant4 toolkit, SLIC has also been used for LDC studies. SLIC uses the LCDD geometry format for runtime description of the detector. It is able to read event files and writes LCIO output files.

SLIC stands for "Simulator for the Linear Collider". It is a full simulation package that uses the Geant4 Monte Carlo toolkit to simulate the passage of particles through the detector. SLIC reads StdHep events and creates simulated events in the LCIO. SLIC's detector description engine is called Linear Collider Detector Description (LCDD), which itself is based on the GDML project from CERN. SLIC is the official simulator of the ALCPG and has been used primarily for studies of the SiD concept.
