BEFORE you start the checkout procedure
- Need an internet connection to the Linux machine that will checkout the GIT repository
- Install "git" on your Linux machine
- Example: $ sudo apt install git
- To enable the download of large files associated with the project, run the following command (one time only procedure):
- $ git lfs install (see https://github.com/git-lfs/git-lfs/wiki/Installation for reference)
- Create an account on github
- Generate a new SSH key and adding it to the ssh-agent for github
- Add a new SSH key to your GitHub account
Checkout procedure
## Clone the repository from github
$ git clone --progress --recursive -v https://github.com/slaclab/atlas-chess2
