Help for Beam-Based Feedback Control

This is the overall Controls display for the beam-based feedbacks in MATLAB.

 FEEDBACK SUMMARY DISPLAYS:

LAUNCH SUMMARY PLOTS: this button will bring up a display of summary Bunch Charge and Launch feedback plots. As summary, only the States of the feedback are plotted.

LONGITUDINAL SUMMARY PLOTS: this button will bring up a display of longitudinal summary feedback plots. As summary, only the States of the feedback are plotted.

GENERAL FEEDBACK CONTROLS:

This section includes the controls to set the minimum BPM TMIT value that indicates to feedbacks that the BPM data is valid. In addition there are L2 Energy and Chirp controls and readbacks that are available for the operator when the Longitudinal Feedback is off or in Compute mode.

LONGITUDINAL FEEDBACK:
This section has controls for the longitudinal feedback, as described by heading below.

HEADING ONE: Feedback Status:

The first button under this heading has the name of the feedback on it. This button will bring up a detail screen for the named feedback.

The colored square next to this button displays the current status of the feedback. Green means its ON, yellow means there is a warning on one of the feedback actuators, states or measurement devices, red means it is ON with an error condition. This area will display the OFF string when the feedback is off.

Next to this color indicator, there is a number displayed that should be continuously incrementing (updating every 2 seconds) as long as the feedback is running. It will get stuck at one value if the feedback is off or the feedback has crashed. If this number gets stuck then go to the detailed display and Stop then Start the feedback.

Finally, the feedback mode is displayed as either ENABLE or COMPUTE.

HEADING TWO: Feedback Control
Four buttons are shown under this heading.

The Update Act Refs... button will execute the script to update the actuator reference values.

The Restore Acts... button will execute the script to write the stored actuator values to the actuator setpoints. This is an INVASIVE operation, it will change the settings of the RF actuators - LOB, L1S, L2 and L3.

The Config / Ref Orbit button will start the configuration application for the Longitudinal feedback.
