- BT working group results presented at the last collaboration meeting in a very exciting session which was very well received by the collaboration
- Main outcomes to the collaboration were agreed
- new TKR digitization algorithm, including charge sharing effects, cross talk effects for large signals (heavy ions saturating input charge amplifier, possibly electronics signal simulation)
- new CAL modules calibration procedure
- hadronic physics list to identify best Geant4 simulation engines for hadronic interactions in the LAT
- material review
- Schedule of deliverables discussed inside working group and agreed - first updates to be released end of april to evaluate effects on data-MC comparison and support implementation in GlastRelease
- On-going hot topics
- massive data reprocessing and MC generation with latest sim/recon package (BTRelease) incorporating latest calibrations, new TKR digitization algorithm, CAL xtalk correction
- hadronic phyisics studies
- standalone G4 simulation with realistic honeycomb structure (no effect on CAL energy deposition, testing TKR hit issue)
