The following interactive login pools are rebooted on the first Sunday of each month, staggered between 4:00 AM - 4:30 AM Pacific Time.

This facilitates the patching and activation of updated kernels, glibc, and other shared libraries. It is also used for any recommended server software maintenance. Periodic reboots to enable security patches are required by SLAC Cyber Security and Department of Energy. A 'wall' message is sent to every terminal starting 10 minutes prior to the reboot.
