An attempt to summarize services beyond pure "business computing" which might fall between the cracks if CD is split into "business computing" and scientific computing "hardware".

Yemi +?

Support for /afs/slac/package/*

?

Account management

Unix/Windows/Crowd. Includes support for tracking users (SLUO Oracle user database and forms plus equivalents from other divisions) as well as employees. Tracking/handling password changes, cyber security status. Currently too ad-hoc and  labor intensive and poorly integrated with collaborations/user support groups. Urgently in need of serious revamp in my opinion.

webauth (+Crowd)

It would be great if there was better cross-lab support for web based single sign-on, including ideally more global standards (Shiboleth, OAUTH,???). A subset of this is probably also a requirement for the proposed "intranet portal".

cyber security

unix-admin

Still currently deals with many issues beyond pure "unix". Acts as knowledge base funneling problems to appropriate people, including those within experiments.

Fileservers, xrootd

Batch systems

LSF etc.
