Hardware Deployment

An overall description of the deployed hardware into Production is provided below.  The top half describes hardware in Sector-2, while the bottom half presents equipment in Sector-10 (center and right) and Sector-20 (on the left).

IOC Deployment

Overall, 12 IOCS have been put together to support Linac Locking.  The first 6 IOCs --developed a year prior to the current work-- are captured by the diagram below.  This first batch of IOCs include controls for the frequency locker, frequency counter, PLL loops and Beckhoff instrumentation.

The following diagram captures the remaining 6 (most recent) IOCs deployed into Production.  This second set of IOCs provides the controls for additional PLLs, re-synchronization triggers, a phase locker, an RFoF system and a trigger alignment/bucket jump detector subsystem.

See below crate & slot information for each of the IOCs.

IOC Description Summary

The Linac Locking software IOCs are housed by the masterSource repository.  In iocBoot/README.linac-locking, a brief description is provided on the role of each of the IOCs.
