The Data Handling Group agenda from 2007-02-16 is here.

Oracle

  • Karen Heidenreich has been monitoring the ISOC and DH groups' Databases and has recommended several changes to tables/queries that have improved Oracle responsiveness.

Web

  • Tony Johnson demonstrated the new menuing system and other features now available in the GLAST Commons infrastructure.
    • The new menus provide convenient links between GLAST web applications, Jira and Confluence, the User Workbook, etc.
    • Any existing web application can be linked and embedded as long as it uses only relative links in it's pages.

Data Server

  •  Igor Pavlin has a Data Serval Portal beta release
    • It incorporates latest changes to pipeline client and server, and David's v3r3 backend server release.
    • Igor is now working on parallelization of the skimmer jobs in the front-end (DataPortal application)

Pipeline

  • Daniel Flath released a new patch to Pipeline II that allows creation of streams with a StreamId of 0 (zero)
    • Previously a user-supplied StreamId of 0 indicated the pipeline should auto-assign the next Id in sequence (beginning with 1)
    • Now a user must supply an Id of -1 to request an auto-generated StreamId.
  • Cluadia Levalley now has a Java IDE installed and configured to build the org-glast-jobcontrol package and is moving forward to add support for remote job submission

Confluence / Jira

  • It was agreed that ISOC and Glast Offline Software Jira projects would be made accessible to both groups
    • (It was recently discovered that members of only one of the groups were unable to browse issues belonging to projects for the other group.)
    • Essentially this requires a merging of the membership lists of the two Jira user-groups
  • No labels
