In short, the binned likelihood analysis consists in the following sequence (data are assumed to be accessible, to simulate them, follow the observationSim tutorial):

  1. dataSubSelector (optional) : defines the region of interest (ROI), which must be the same for all data sources.
  2. exposureCube : this step computes the exposure in the ROI.
  3. srcMap : takes a source model, and maps it to the exposure and spacecraft data.
  4. likelihood : fits the srcMap to the data.
