Roles vs. Macrosteps: Continued to work on this swim lane diagram with input from E. Galtier.

  • Use average trajectory for all hutches for alignment
  • Set accelerator parameters, use slits to set optical path
  • HPS checks (gate valves and stoppers)
  • Confirm mirror alignment
  • Confirm beam path is clear
  • X-ray alignment to profile monitor (YAG screen) - to ensure beam, center and position if needed (undulator move if vertical adjustment is needed)
  • Transport beam to end of XRT, adjust alignment in X and Y direction if needed
  • To target chamber and imaging system for precision alignment if needed
  • TCC evaluation as a function of the experiment
  • Note: 2-6h of MD time requested if there has been no beam for some time (3-4 weeks).  Additional 2h required at beginning of experiment for standard (long pulse) experiments.  Constant evaluation required for non-LP experiments.
