Shutter and Pockels Cell Trigger Controls
The normal rate that the shutter and pockels cell are permitted (triggered) is controlled by the BGRP definition on the MPG. However, the user can rate-limit or disable the permit using the following setpoints:

  • Off/MPG - when \"Off\", the EVG will remove the trigger at the specified rate for the specified # of pulses. In this case, all beam diagnostics will not trigger except for the profile monitors which will continue triggering if the user has requested on the global event display (ie, for dark current imaging). When "MPG" is selected, triggering is restored to that in the BGRP definition.
  • Permit Disable Rate - rate that the permit is disabled (pockels cell only).
  • # Pulses Off - number of pulses that the permit is removed. -1 is forever.
  • # Pulses Off so Far - counter of the number of pulses the permit has been removed so far.
  • Trigger Rate - current rate (Hz), updated every 2 sec, that the trigger event code is broadcast by the EVG.
  • Trigger Enable/Disable - locally enable or disable the trigger without affecting beam diagnostics triggers.
