    • At command prompt: 

      $ cat /proc/pgpcard_0
    • Scroll up to Lane 0: Should see:

      LockLinkReady1
      RemLinkReady1


      • In PGP3? Switch port on back of computer...
      • Power cycle, but if tries of theat does not work...
      • Lane 0 is hard coded into firmware: Move the optical quad connection in back of the computer & try again
  • Skipping rest of steps for now to just see if can get camera running...
  • Assuming Firmware engineer help you get correct version of project downloaded into your local git
    • $ cd ~/IC_projects/epix
      # where I have my local git repo
      $ git checkout rogue_v5.14
      $ git branch
      # make sure you see that you're in branch rogue_v5.14
      $ git pull
      # make sure "Already up to date."
  • Run GUI: Now that your in correct branch up to date
    • $ cd software/Epix
      $ source setup_template.sh
      # Starting Rogue --> (rogue_v5.14.0) should show up next to command prompt
      $ cd scripts
      $ python epix10kaDAQ.py
      # actually running GUI
  • Load YML register setting file
    1. Window: epix10kaDAQ.py@rdsrv306 → Tab: ePixBoard → Under: Reset And Configuration → 
    2. Select file: Select ../yml/epix10k folder and file...
    3. File NameWhat this version is used for..................
      epix10ka_u_all_msAcq.ymlThink for longer integration window???
      epix10ka_u_all.ymlSelect for now, base configuration

    4. Under System Log (at bottom of same window): Its ok to see the message "Entry AutoTrigFreqHz not found"

  • Starting up software triggers
    1. Window: epix10kaDAQ.py@rdsrv306 (CONTROL WINDOW) → Tab: ePixBoard → Run Control (runControl) → Set Run State:
    2. Should see Run Count (next to Run State) incrementing up
  • Window: ePix Image viewer@rdsrv306 (VIEWER WINDOW) → Tab: Main
    1. MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE BOX  
      • Display Image Enabled
    2. Number of Dark image 2 → Press 
    3. Set Contrast (max,min) = (100, -100)
  • Point a laser at it and should see something like this...
    • Note: Top of the image here is the side of the sensor closest to the ribbon cable or analog board
  • To exit: Go back to command prompt and press
