The transportation locks are made of SST.
For motion test purposes:
- In Air Motion Test:
- Stages can be actuated in air
- If motion test is done before bakeout then transportation locks need to be removed.
- The screws that hold the transportation locks in place needs to be screwed back in before any motion test is performed.
- These screws act as end stops. No motion test should be performed without the screws in place.
- Bakeout:
- Since the transportation locks are already taken out, no need to assemble those back on to the stages during bakeout.
- Might be a good idea to place it in the same vacuum chamber during bakeout.
- In Vacuum Motion Control Test:
- SmarAct stages should not be energized during pump down or repressurizing to atmosphere. This was suggested by SmarAct.
- SmarAct stages should only be energized at UHV vacuum pressure.
- Motion test can be performed when vacuum level is UHV. No transportation lock is in place
