Introduction
The purpose of intra-Africa (or inland Africa) fibre optics connections is to connect rest of the sites and countries in Africa. This will extend coverage from landing points of various submarine cables (case study here) to capitals and major cities of African continent. This will also help major universities and institutions to connect up to the world and collaborate on various projects.
For the purpose of this study, we will divide Africa into four regions: North West, North East, South West and South East.
