- Coarse timing can be done with fast photodiode connected to Lecroy oscilloscope → match the rising edges of the X-ray and the laser by adjusting
lxt
(Vitari timing) - Fine timing → fast photodiode outside of SC3 → Acquiris digitizer
- Use an out-coupling mirror (currently mounted on SC3 Ap Stand, or the “CXI:SC3:MMS:10” motor) to get the UV outside of SC3
- Measure the UV transmission through a clear YAG at IP on the photodiode
- Make the Takahiro plot for finding the timing
- Set the two cursor positions for the integration area of Acquiris
- Untimed: no correlation between the transmission and X-ray pulse energy
- Timed: negative correlation between the transmission and X-ray pulse energy
