TOPICS
Commissioning:
On April 3rd beam will come back on and there will be one month of commissioning before the next user run.
During the April commissioning we will be able to run beam at 120Hz up to the TD11 Dump (includes IN20 and much of the LI21 areas).
During the user run, we do not plan to run at 120Hz for users, though we may test at 120Hz up to TD11 on Machine Development days. During the user run we may run beam up to 60Hz.
We need to work with the physicists on a commissioning plan for each of the Fast Feedback subsystems. Please email a commissioning plan for your subsystem. I need to know how many hours/days you need to have, if you have multiple IOCs I'll need a plan for commissioning all of them. Use the 'software release request' questions as a guide to the kind of information needed. I expect to present a complete plan for fast feedback on the January 21 physics meeting.
We also need to let the physicist know if our changes will effect existing applications. please include this in your emails.
udpComm:
We have previously discussed making udpComm a shared module, since BLEN, BPMs, and RF all need it. Now is the time to do it.
ACTION ITEMS
Kukhee, Qing, Till/Sonya, Diane, Debbie/Kristi - email commissioning plans for April to Diane by Friday morning Jan. 15. We will discuss them at our Friday meeting.
Ernest - WE NEED A TEST STAND DIAGRAM by Tuesday. ask Jim Knopf?
Ernest - fast feedback testing on test stand requires RTEMS 9.3, please prepare a cheat sheet and an area in epics/modules for fast feedback development perhaps ...epics/modules/fastfeedback
Till - Review the existing BLEN udpComm; evaluate the effort to make updComm a shareable module that works for BLEN, BPMs, RF...
Diane - prepare fast feedback commissioning plan for presentation to physicists by Jan 20
