One way to reconfigure an xps controller:
- Switch it off.
- Unplug the cables.
- Boot it up.
- Do Auto Configuration in the XPS Web Interface. It shouldn't be able to find anything on the channels, and should ask what is there for all the channels.
- To access the XPS Web Interface. If controlling the motor through epics, there should be an XPS Web Interface button at the top of the motor controller screen.
- Put in the stage file for each channel.
- Reboot to load in the new configuration.
- Power off.
- Put the cables back.
- Power on.
- Initialize Stages.
- Home those stages you "own"/wish to use, etc.
