Why use a CSV to create queues?
If you plan to run multiple spots per sample, or need to include multiple motor moves, creating queues from scratch can take a bit of time.
Due to this, we have incorporated a CSV import capability in WebXAS.
This capability is available on:
2-2
4-3*
7-3
9-3
*limited to Transmission and Lytle/PIPS measurements for now.

Notes on creating a CSV for importing to make new queues:
Each CSV import corresponds to one queue. You must have columns called:
- Region (region file name)
- Detector (detector file name)
- Num Scans
- File Name (will use for exp and data file name)
- Sample Information (not required but these will go into the comments fields)
To include motor moves, include columns called: MOTOR (MOTOR NAME)
When you save your csv, ensure that this is a file which webxas will open. Stay safe, use no spaces (- or _ work, though!)
To access CSV importing in WebXAS:
- Within the data collector window, one of the first blocks is the Queue Manager:
- First open "Queue Wizard" from the Queue Manager window
- Go to "Append Queue"
- Click "Import CSV"
- Your queue will generate under the same file name (screen shot shows that I used the wrong region file in my csv)
