(RTD) Resistor Temperature Detectors, Heaters and PIDs
- Can be a diode (nonlinear) or a resistor (linear)
- We use diodes, they are way more accurate
- V=IR
- P=VI, P=I(^2)R, P=V(^2)/R
- But!
We can use them to measure more accurately with 4 wires as we can bias one side and subtract the resistance of the leads on either side.
