Fahad set this up as a monitoring host in April 2010. It is unique in that it requires a userid and password to access. There are two hosts at this site. One is the monitoring hosts vle.iiu.edu.pk, the other is a remote host www.iiu.edu.pk.

As seen in the collection status the monitoring host has been successfully monitoring and we have gathered data from it for April 20-23, 2010. The host is pingable:

Both hosts can be found in offsite_nodes and /afs/slac/package/pinger/nodes.cf

The monitor host does appear in /nfs/slac/g/net/pinger/pingerreports/hep/average_rtt/average_rtt-100-by-node.txt.gz so it is being gathered archived and analyzed.

vle.iiu.edu.pk shows up in pingtable as a monitoring host. Currently (April 24, 2010) according to pingtable vle.iiu.edu/pk is only monitoring two Pakistani hosts, NCP and NIIT (AKA SEECS), both in Islamabad.

However www.iiu.edu.pk is not showing up in pingtable as a remote host. This may be since Fahad entered its Projecttype as 'r' rather than as 'NOT-SET'. I have fixed this.  Maybe it will show up tomorrow.

Also vle.iiu.edu.pk is not showing up as a monitored host from SLAC. I do not understand this.
