Introduction

There are three periods of test beams in which 3D sensors will be tested at CERN. This page contains a placeholder for notes/reminders for preparation.

MCC board

  • General tests (Pelle & Alessandro)

BAT

  • List of tests to be carried out before using (Pelle & Alessandro)

10-17 October

DUT's
  • List of devices under test
    • STA-3D (2E,3E and 4E?)
    • CNM
    • SINTEF
    • FBK (irradiated?)
EUDET Telescope
  • Hardware modifications on TPLL
    • TPLL boards from Oslo and Manchester are modified
    • If we use the MCC board only one (with some backup perhaps) needs to be modified
  • Software changes
    • Minor modification for the Oslo reconstruction code (Ole)
    • Need to modify the BAT online monitoring if we use the MCC board.
  • Mount for devices
    • How many devices can fit in the telescope
Run plan

Should focus on measurements that require the extra resolutions

  • Charge sharing
  • Electrode charge collection efficiency

24-04 November

This assumes that we have access to the Morpurgo magnet.

DUT's
  • List of devices under test
    • STA-3D (2E,3E and 4E?)
    • CNM
    • SINTEF
    • FBK (irradiated?)
  • Mounting
    • Prefered choice: Use the cooling box from May even if there is no required cooling
    • If irradiated sensors are used then we need to verify the cooling in the box (Anyone?)
    • The May cooling box could hold only 4 DUTs, using MCC it is easy feasable to test at least 8
      • Need new box/mounting
Run plan

Should focus on the measurements to validate the 3D performance and fill in the information we are lacking from the May TB.

  • Angle scan
  • Magnetic field strength scan

20-25 November

This period is in H6 without magnetic field.

DUT's
  • List of devices under test
    • STA-3D (2E,3E and 4E?)
    • CNM
    • SINTEF
    • FBK (irradiated?)
  • Mounting
    • Same comments as above.
    • Irradiated sensors should be available, see earlier comments on mounting
Run plan
  • No labels
