Background

The FACET Home interface necessitates navigating through multiple tabs and buttons to access a single diagnostic related to the DAQ. Given that FACET-II manages nearly 100 cameras operating at a frequency of 10 Hz, there are numerous potential points of failure. This complexity increases the likelihood of encountering issues and makes it challenging to quickly identify and address problems.

DAQ Monitor GUI

The GUI I developed consolidates essential DAQ diagnostics into a single, streamlined interface for live debugging. It features options for resetting DAQ functionalities to their default settings after each experimental run, ensuring the system is consistently restored to a known state. The "Enable 214," "Reset to Zero," and "Reset Both" buttons set the associated pv to the desired value. Additionally, the "Run Test DAQ" button initiates a test DAQ using the cameras SYAG, DTOTR2, GAMMA1, and CHER. The interface also includes a detailed table displaying the active cameras and their shot counts, enabling users to effectively monitor camera activity and performance. Users can refresh the table contents and update the lamp colors by clicking the "Update Status" button.

Impact

This tool significantly enhances troubleshooting efficiency by centralizing diagnostics and providing real-time information on camera usage. By enabling quick identification and resolution of DAQ issues, it reduces downtime during experiments and improves the overall effectiveness of experimental operations.

Camera Swap Summary

This GUI summarizes the 19 camera swaps during the 2023-2024 run. The Mako G-125B model had the most replacements, with 9 in total. It was used by 6 cameras, including GAMMA2, which was replaced 4 times.
