These are 2 identical detector systems commissioned from STA (STA5200 image sensor, SN31179 and SN31201) to enable qRIXS science in NEH 2.2. The CCD has 10um x 20um pixels, with 4224 pixels horizontally and 1024 pixels vertically, for a total image area of 42.24mm x 20.48mm.
Since the CCD operates optimally at -100C, it’s cooled down using a CryoTel Cooler with active vibration cancellation. The final piece of this system is an STA Archon controller which can receive configuration information from and send status and image data to a host PC via Ethernet connection.
