For DTMs not installed in a COB, the switch manager software must be disabled.
To disable the switch manager
Log into the DTM
Execute fw_setenv nocm 1
Execute systemctl disable fmd
Reboot DTM.
To reenable the switch manager
Log into the DTM
Execute fw_setenv nocm
Execute systemctl enable fmd
Reboot the DTM.
