From Shirley:

Notes from the Nagios meeting on 2011/09/08
Attending: Tony Johnson, Charlotte Hee, Tom Glanzman, Richard Dubois, Shirley
Gruber, Yemi Adesanya, John Bartelt

The objective for centralized Nagios support is that there will be less work for
all.

During today's meeting, we've agreed to the following:

CD will manage the Nagios servers:
- a production server for the current Nagios release
- a test/development server for the current Nagios release
- a test/development server for the upcoming Nagios release

CD will provide access to the test/development servers via a netgroup

- the netgroup will be u-nagios-testers and will contain chee and tonyj
Process for testing and migration to production:
- Charlotte will test the plug-ins in a test/development environment
- requests to move the plug-ins to the production environment will be sent to
unix-admin
- no changes will be made on a Friday, except to remove problem plug-ins
- other changes will be made on Monday through Thursday; preferably in the
morning
- due to limited Nagios expertise, we cannot promise next-business-day
turnaround;
however, we will make an effort to provide two-day turnaround
