Previously Action taken (emailed/talked to the concerned person - dnt have machine. They may install temporary on other server and let us know, emailed installation instss . Need to contact again earlier we promised them to send machine. Changed the DNS entry from pinger.hu.edu.pk to hu.seecs.edu.pk. The node is working fine now (checked on 5/5/11). Ping From not working 5/11/11.

System crashed, need re-install Imran ashraf is looking into this, will notify once fixed. Hardware problem is encountered. Trying to resolve it, will update on 4th May. However data not recovered as on 5/5/11. Working fine now 5/11/11.

Pinging by IP and not by DNS , and not showing data issue might be IP conflict. Action taken (Called but not responded , will call again later, emailed the concerned person.) Update: Traceserver address is modified but ping from and get data are still not working.Changed the DNS entry from pinger.aup.edu.pk to aup.seecs.edu.pk. The node is working fine 5/5/11. However ping from not working and not getting data on 5/11/11.

Still troubleshooting the problem. Update: Pingable however status is recorded as Down. Also the ping from pwr.nu.edu.pk is not working. However, host is up, webserver is running, but ping_data.pl is not working. The possible reason is that the administrators have not set the permissions properly. Need to contact concerned people to set the proper permissions.

Update: Ping from this node was not working. Traceserver address is modified and is working fine now. 5/4/11 no data was showing because beacon list is empty. However lynx is in the right location. Need to consult www-iepm.slac.stanford.edu/pinger/faq.html#nodata to troubleshoot this issue. Beacon list added, working fine now.

Update: Ping from this node was not working. Traceserver address is modified in metadata (NODE DETAILS) and node is working fine now. However, there is an empty:

Can you get them to update ping_data.pl then we can tell if the path to lynx is correct.  This may be the problem.   The node is working fine on 5/5/11.  Not pinging and not accessible 5/11/11.

 however, it should be
<SrcName>pinger.isra.edu.pk</SrcName> 

Seecs group does not have access to this machine and the contact person at Isra University is busy in organizing an event there. Will update as he notifies.
