Logging into the FACET control system network
The FACET EPICS control system resides on its own MCC-based network, parallel to and separate from the LCLS network.
To log into the FACET network from a linux terminal session:
- Your afs unix account must be added to the facet group. Contact Ken Brobeck (x2558) to set you up.
- Log into the mcclogin machine with your afs account:
- ssh mcclogin
- Then, from mcclogin, log into facet-builder as the fphysics account, for example:
- ssh fphysics@mcclogin
To log into the FACET network from an OPI in MCC:
- Click the ..... icon on the desktop.
