Overview
The FACET facility of controlled by the legacy VMS control system, with new EPICS controls for some systems. This is a basic FACET control system physics development guide.
Logging into the FACET control system network
The FACET EPICS control system resides on its own MCC-based network.
To log into the FACET network from a linux terminal session:
1. Your afs unix account must be added to the facet group. Ken Brobeck (x2558) can set you up.
2. Log into the mcclogin machine with your afs account, for example:
ssh mcclogin
3. From mcclogin, log into facet-builder as user fphysics, for example:
ssh fphysics@mcclogin
