Different web applications are capable to programmatically provide trendable data for a given set of parameters.
It should be possible to fetch this data from a common web application allowing correlations of trendables coming from different sources.
Data Definition
For each application trendable data is uniquely defined by:
- name: either the actual name of the data (as defined in the dataInfo page) or by an evaluated expression (histogram("someName").entries())
- set or parameters: for some applications it might be necessary to set some parameters to uniquely identify the data
- for example in TelemetryTrending a given mnemonic might come from a different source
- in CalibrationTrending for a given Calorimeter quantity we have to specify layer, xtal, face, range
