# *James* will install MS Project and update the schedule.
# *James* will check with Hytec regarding SMDS4 micro stepping option.
# *Tom* will investigate stepping motors to use for the BC1 articulating beamline.
# *Bob* will e-mail Josh Stein about the details of their beamline motion controls.
# *Patrick* will determine if a motorized beamline solution is essential for commissioning.
# *Patrick* will produce a PRD for the BC1 articulating beamline control.

h1. New Actions: (summary; see details below)
# *None* this week.

h1. Minutes:
# Bob showed us the Hytec hardware that recently arrived
## The SMDS4-LR-1KVA
## The 1U-PSU Shelf unit with power supply
## Manual hand-held controller
## An octopus cable and power supply cable
# James is away, but will return tomorrow and will interconnect the pieces and start to test.
# Tom spoke about the motor for BC1 motion.
## He recently talked with Leif about a different orientation for the motor. He is still looking to use a motor from the same vendor.
## Tom also mentioned that he's working on E163 at end station B. He mentioned that priorities would need to be assigned for this work and the LCLS work.
# We asked about Anthony Tilghman's availability. James will speak with him when he returns.
# We discussed the ethernet connections to the Lab area. Fred Hooker spoke with Tom, but Fred is out sick today. Tom pointed out area for install and expects it will happen soon.
# Rene mentioned the OTR drives, which we expected to be pneumatically driven, might be using a wire scanner style linear slide and motor assembly.
## Rene said it was only being considered in informal discussions because there is too little space below the OTR in the BC1 slide area.
## The pneumatic solenoid idea is still being considered for user elsewhere. We agreed that we're trying to standardize, but it might not always be possible.
# Rene also mentioned that the collimator assembly is new and has separate, modular components for easy maintenance.
