An alternative to showing colors to show the state of the hosts might be to be able to turn them on and off depending on their state (like the TULIP landmarks map at http://www.slac.stanford.edu/comp/net/wan-mon/viper/tulip_map.htm^{Image Removed})
If you can come up with a way of selecting 2 hosts (at least one of which is a monitor), then enable showing between the hosts: on demand ping, on demand traceroute, Smokeping.
The page should also have easy access to table.pl for Pakistan, to http://www-iepm.slac.stanford.edu/tools/pingworld/^{Image Removed} , the PingER site map (e.g. http://www-iepm.slac.stanford.edu/pinger/^{Image Removed}) it should have clickable logos for SLAC & SEECS. It should also have a brief discussion and/or links to PERN
