  • What beamtimes to request was extensively discussed, and the following was suggested:
    • Request 2 shifts in the week of the 10th. The aim is to understand and remove the checker mark effects on the small and 2M before the final calibration shift on the 21st. Shift 1 aims to make the necessary measurements to check the checker mark effect (timing scan, and the linearity scans at the different data timing points; for both the 2M and the small). The second shift is primarly primarily in case something goes wrong. We will ask Sebastien if we can request this shift and cancel it if all goes well the first beamtime. Additionally, an An alternative use of shift 2 would be to evaluate the non-ghosting 10ka ASIC. We need to find out if it is possible to create a prototype in time (Conny talk to Chris Kenney);
    • The calibration shift for the 21st will aim at calibrating the smalls, unless we have not been able to remove the checker mark. At the end of the shift Philip wants to evaluate linearity when we mask the detector (pin hole irradiation).
    • For the ePixHR testing we are opting for the MFX station. We should be able to run here within a month. Also, we will try and have the v4 ASIC prototype available for this beamtime (Conny talk to Chris Kenney). WE are going to request 3 We will request three shifts: shift 1: Aug. 29; shift 2+3: 14+15 Sept.). The backup if we cant If we can't get the v4 ASIC prototype done on time, the backup is to use the v2 ASIC prototype.

  • For the pulser, Dionisio will be given 2 of the Xilinxs cards for Christos to start working on and prepare for installation in the ASC Rogue setup. The idea is to install 2 cards in the computer and reflash the cards in accordance with which detector is to be run.
  • Xavier presented results on changing the ACQ and R0 windows on the tigerteeth. The tigerteeth appear to become very pronounced with short windows, but at larger windows, the size don't not significantly alter the teeth. The effect will also be evaluated when changing the CompEnOn window length, and all the information provided to Bojan.
  • Kaz, Conny and Bhavna will try and get the scope system (diode and ACQ window on scope) up and running next week. Requires ASC DAQ to come back on-line.khwbe
