Host Configuration
Current naming conventions:
- Camera - gige-mec-camXX
- gige-mec-XX is the ECS standard
- Camera IOC - ioc-mec-gigeXX
Unresponsive cameras (4 April 2023, also see comments in table below):
- 01-10: 01, 02, 03, 04, 06, 10
- 11-20: 11, 12, 15, 17
- 21-30: None
- 31-40: 33, 35
Comments on host naming and use:
- Current usage combines beamline and laser camera IOCs on the ioc-mec-las-gige[01-04].
- The large format MakoG234B cameras have issues on ioc-mec-las-gige01 (see

- ioc-mec-las-gige04 has a FEZ interface for pvDaq work.
- Comment from Tyler: They were labeled as "las" hosts because at the time they were being used to support gige cameras that were being added to the laser system. It doesn't matter what a host is labeled, what is important is the subnet that it operates on. If these hosts are on the MEC subnet, then there's really no reason not to use them as general purpose hosts if they are not overburdened

- R3.7.0/R1.3.0 is required for:
- MakoG032B cameras #7-#15, #34-#35: support added in common/R3.7.0.
- MantaG033B cameras #29-#33: configuration files added in mec/R1.3.0.
- MakoG234B cameras #36-#39.
- common/R3.7.0 is only supported for RHEL7 hosts
- Build R3.3.0/R1.1.1 is used for RHEL5 hosts:
- This is deprecated.
- But can be used for non-MakoG032B cameras that have camera numbers < 29.
- ioc-mec-las-gige04 (RHEL7) is down.ioc-mec-las-evr-01 (RHEL7) is already hosting
- ioc-mec-las-evr-01
- ioc-mec-spec-01, 02, 03, and 04
- so removed from use as a GigE host (for now)
