Context: DXS is the primary beamline where this detector will be used therefore its reequipments are considered when designing the SparkPix-S 1x4. The expected beam will be spited into two and a sketch of its dimensions when interacting with the detector is depicted below

    Beam concept at the detector

Draft on the concept of beam interaction with the 1x4 carrier. Detector will be pivoted around the center axis, effectively reducing the pixel size. Vibration calculations should be analyzed considering the effective pixel size (10um)

    Sensor Design

    • Pixel pitch is 50um
    • 1mm is the baseline but Hassan has suggested that they may want to have 500um thick sensors two

    Platform

The SparkPix-S 1x4 detector is very similar to the GT readout platform and therefore we will reuse it extent possible. For examle, the digital and analog boards are 100% compatible. The carrier boards and mechanical design will need to be adapted.
