We will meet at 10am in the SLAC Ballam room and VRVS Geminga room.
Agenda
This weeks meeting will focus on pipline II and related issues.
Pipeline Status
- Progress on next release.
Pipeline II User Group
very early experience with xrootd
- file transfer (for a tiny text file) works. (Thanks Wilko!)
- need tool to list directories (for debugging)
- updated xrdcp will require "-f" to overwrite existing file
- beginning documentation from Wilko: https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/xrd/Xrootd+Client+Admin+Tools
- ability to stageOut files to xrootd now exists in the GPL Tools
GPL Tools

Python situation
- This was discussed at the Tuesday Core Software meeting - and summarized here: http://www-glast.slac.stanford.edu/software/core/minutes_02272007.htm
- Since then, some additional information about David Decotigny's work, https://confluence.slac.stanford.edu/display/~decotigny/ISOC+RPM
- Once the dust settles, might this be an acceptable solution for us as well as several other constituencies?
Critical Needs
- Initial proof-of-principle Pipeline II tasks will be completed this month! (by definition)
- Each of the current Pipeline II users was asked, "Could each of you who has an imminent Pipeline II based project please consider what functionality is needed in the system to do your work in a way consistent with the Pipeline II philosophy? "
- There will hopefully be responses so that we might negotiate a solution and schedule.
