XTCAV Systems

The X-band Transverse Deflecting Cavity (TDC) System is a radio-frequency (RF) technology used primarily in particle accelerators and beam diagnostics. The "X-band" refers to the frequency range of the RF field used in the cavity, typically between 8 to 12 GHz. This higher frequency allows for finer temporal resolution, enabling more precise measurements of the beam's structure.

In the XTCAV project at SLAC, an 11.42 GHz frequency is used for the X-band, which is four times the Phase Reference Line frequency of 2856 MHz.
